F1’s Williams With a long-standing partnership with F1, Oris has built a lineup dubbed the Williams lineup. In addition, I have been leading motorsports, one of Oris’ four representative collections, centering on this. As a sub-lineup to assist Williams, he created TT and Artix GT, and recently decided to collaborate with Audi Sport, introducing several models. Audi Sport stands out by participating in the FIA World Endurance Race Championship (WEC), the German Touring Car Championship (DTM), the Audi TT Cup and various GTs. In particular, WEC is showing off its technological prowess by exhibiting the R18 e-tron quattro, which combines a diesel engine and a hybrid system. The Audi Sport Limited Edition II in the review is a model presented to commemorate the arrival of this R18 Itron Quattro.

The first thing that catches your eye is the unique dial configuration. It is rare to find a chronograph equipped with a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock with a design slightly reminiscent of an rpm gauge. Maybe it’s because the 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock was deleted to differentiate it from the Audi Sport Limited Edition I. Unlike Edition I, which has a general and balanced design with top and bottom two counters, a slight imbalance creates a dial with tension. The information (counter) focused at 12 o’clock is balanced from below by placing a day date at 3 o’clock and a linear permanent second hand at 9 o’clock. The logos of Oris and Audi Sport are neatly placed at the 6 o’clock position, which has been relaxed as a result.
Like the all-black case with black DLC treatment on titanium, the dial is also based on all-black. The tip of the chronograph hand, the color of the rotating disk that realizes the linear second hand, part of the index on the counter and the Audi Sport logo are painted in red for readability in all black. As with any all-black model, legibility cannot be compromised, so this part has to be sacrificed for the overall mood. If you look closely at the red 30-minute counter hand, you can see that there is a dark gray second hand behind it. The hidden (?) gimmick of this model is an interesting part. A hand made to activate the chronograph to make a 10-minute countdown. The 15th to 25th minutes of the 30-minute counter were marked with 10 to 0, enabling the countdown to the number indicated by the gray needle. I wondered if the countdown function had something to do with the R18 Itron Quattro, but there doesn’t seem to be anything like that. Instead, it seems useful to be able to use the countdown in addition to the chronograph. I remember the linear second hand as the first function I used on the Altix GT Chronograph. The spinning disk announces the seconds using a technique that looks like a red bar. It allows for interesting displays without structural changes.
As if the base model was brought from the Altix GT, you can find commonalities in the luminous arabic index and the needle shape. The needle and luminous light are also faithful to the basics of the all-black model. The black luminous power is less luminous than the normal luminous without color, but this model boasts a considerable luminous power.fake watches
As mentioned earlier, the case is titanium with black DLC treatment, and it is close to the color called gunmetal. The bezel is a ceramic engraved timer scale. It is slightly shiny compared to the case, but it melts into the case well. The engraving in 30-second increments is not very deep, but clear. (Of course, dark gray was added after engraving), but there are two red dots at 12 o’clock. It seems to have reproduced the find center mark on the steering wheel. The bezel is designed to rotate on both sides, but it is difficult to accurately determine its purpose. I think you can use it as a 60-minute counter by reading the scale by making the hour hand coincide between the two dots.
The case is rather thick. On the right side with the crown and pushbuttons, it is not felt well by the large diameter of the crown and pushbuttons, but on the left side of the case the thickness is perceived. The interesting part from this side view is the design of the rug. The lugs rise higher than the bottom of the bezel. This is an intentional design and is part of the implementation as a multi-piece case. Unlike the case, the crown and pushbuttons are made of stainless steel with a polished finish. It’s 44mm in diameter, but it’s all black, so it actually looks smaller. Also, the weight is much lighter than it looks thanks to the properties of titanium.
The movement is caliber 778 and the base movement is Celita SW 500. The origin of the SW 500 is ETA’s caliber 7750. Caliber 778 has undergone modifications with a linear second hand, including the removal of the 12-minute counter. Loosen the screw-down crown to position 0, pull one position to position 1, and pull another position to position 2. Manual winding will be performed at position 0. The diameter of the crown is large, so it can be easily wound, and although it is not a very smooth rotation texture, it can be wound without difficulty. In position 1, the date and day of the week can be changed. Turn clockwise to change the date, counterclockwise to change the day of the week. The last position 2 is time-adjusted and the response of the needle is instantaneous, following the rotation of the crown. When the crown is pulled to position 2, the crown protrudes quite far from the case. At this time, it is an interval enough to think that it will not be damaged if it is subjected to an impact. If you press the start/stop button at 2 o’clock, it feels a bit stiff, but the chronograph starts smoothly. When pressed again to stop, the stroke of the pushbutton is reduced and the working pressure of the pushbutton is weakened. Although it is an inherent weakness of the cam method, it is better to understand it as a difference in the method. The reset button also feels a bit stiff when pressed, but the operability is okay.replique montre de luxe
The case back is a solid bag featuring the R18 Itron Quattro. It’s a pity we can’t see the distinctive red rotors of the Oris, but the silhouette of the R18 Itron quattro is nice enough to make up for it. The case back uses the same screw-down method as the crown and is water-resistant to 100m.
Lastly, the strap is a racing type with several holes for ventilation. It fits the model’s personality well. Dark gray stitching is put on the same black strap as the case, and the inside of the strap seems to reduce slippage due to the tax. The buckle is a one-touch de-buckle that can be released with the push of a button.
It has a strong character as a model for racing fans and Audi fans focused on collaboration with Audi sports, but there are enough elements as a racing chronograph that have been faithfully collected for this purpose. R18 Itron Even if you change it to a see-through bag without a quattro and present it as a regular edition, it will mean that it is attractive enough as a racing chronograph. Here, functions such as a 10-minute countdown and gimmicks implemented without structural changes such as the linear second hand reveal the wit of Oris. This is a pleasant element and part that simultaneously reveals the positioning Oris wants to have. Maybe it’s the answer to why Oris can have an image you can always trust.
