Replica Franck Muller has teamed up with the British fake watches specialist Bamford Watch Department (Bamford) to unveil a unique, limited-edition edition of the Casablanca collection. Contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, who is active in various fields such as architecture, installation art, and sculpture, and Johnny Dowell, a London-based engraver working under the pseudonym ‘King Nerd’, have also been added. An unexpected collaboration has yielded results.

Since its inception in 1994, the distinctive case design has remained the hallmark of the Casablanca collection. Named the Cintrée Curvex, the iconic tonneau-shaped case is made of stainless steel, engraved and engraved with an Art Deco-inspired straight pattern through the hands of a ‘king nerd’. According to the brand, it was inspired by the double ‘A’-shaped monogram emblem that symbolizes the Arsham studio run by participating artist Daniel Arsham. The double ‘A’ pattern, which crosses the top and bottom, is also densely printed on the dial.
The green color dial with a near mint saturation is also taken from a specific color palette adopted by Arsham Studios. The multi-layered translucent green lacquer on the stamped guilloché-patterned dial is then meticulously stamped with the collection’s signature oversized Arabic numerals (aka Byzantine Numeral). If you look closely at the dial, you can see that the center second hand (second hand), which is the number 4’s neutral and green lacquered, also embodies the double ‘A’ emblem, which is like the seal of the participating artist. And on the round date window, the Arsham Studio located in New York, USA, is printed and naturally symmetrical with the brand logo at 12 o’clock, emphasizing the fruit of collaboration.
In a steel case with a diameter of 39 mm and a thickness of 17.5 mm, the movement is equipped with an automatic caliber modified with the ETA 2892 eboche (frequency of 4 Hz, power reserve of 42 hours). The double ‘A’ emblem that symbolizes Arsham Studios and the Casablanca logo are engraved side by side on the steel case back fixed with 4 screws, so you can tell at a glance that it is a specially customized model.
The Casablanca x Bamford Limited Edition is limited to 5 pieces and will be sold exclusively through the Bamford Online Store. It is delivered in a special case featuring Arsham Studio’s ‘A’ monogram design, and the selling price is yet to be determined.
